NetJets Europe and Hawker Beechcraft Corporation sign $700M Deal

31 maggio 2007

Geneva, 21 May 2007 – NetJets Europe, the leading private jet operator, today announced the signing of an order for 32 Hawker 4000 aircraft with Hawker Beechcraft Corporation.  The total value of the contract, including a maintenance agreement, will exceed $700 million and strengthens the existing relationship between NetJets Europe and Hawker Beechcraft Corporation.

The Hawker 4000 is the world's most advanced and luxurious super-midsize jet.  It joins NetJets Europe's fleet as its entry level stand-up cabin, flight attendant aircraft.  Deliveries for the 32 Hawker 4000 aircraft will commence in the 3rd Quarter 2008 and are scheduled to run through 2016.  The aircraft is aimed to target businesses and entrepreneurs who need the service, performance and the range offered by the flight attendant equipped super-midsize jet.

Mark Booth, Chairman and CEO of NetJets Europe, said: "we are delighted to be the first company in Europe to add the state-of-the-art Hawker 4000 to our fleet.  The addition of the stand-up cabin super-midsize flight attendant aircraft shows a continued commitment to meeting our customers' needs.  The Hawker 4000 is a magnificent aircraft that will provide exceptional value and performance for our owners and cardholders."

The Hawker 4000 is the most advanced super-midsize jet in the world today, benefiting from all the features of a much larger airplane and showcasing the latest industry leading technology.  The Hawker 4000 is Hawker Beechcraft Corporation's largest aircraft, capable of carrying up to eight passengers. A range of 3,300 nautical miles, allows flights from Moscow to Marrakesh or London to Luxor.  The innovative design and superior performance of the Hawker 4000 reinforce NetJets Europe's continued investment in customer safety and operational excellence.

"The Hawker 4000 is truly a remarkable aircraft, exceeding all of our expectations," said Jim Schuster, chairman and CEO of Hawker Beechcraft Corporation. He added:  "The Hawker 4000 is ideal for European customers with direct flights easily achievable to Russia, North Africa, and the Middle East. Given the safety, quality and service NetJets Europe is known for, the fact that they would choose the Hawker 4000 for their customers is an important endorsement for the aircraft."

NetJets Europe and Hawker Beechcraft have fostered a strong business relationship and this deal will further strengthen those bonds.  NetJets Europe is the largest Hawker Beechcraft Corporation operator on the continent with a current fleet of 53 Hawker jets with 8 more aircraft scheduled for delivery later this year.  By the end of 2008 NetJets Europe will be operating a fleet of over 75 Hawker aircraft made up of the Hawker 400XP, Hawker 750, Hawker 800XP and Hawker 4000.  The addition of the Hawker 4000 to the NetJets Europe fleet gives European businesses, entrepreneurs and high net-worth individuals additional choice when they are determining the best business aviation solution for their particular needs.

The Hawker 4000 features technology for the 21st century with enhanced situational awareness and flight management systems backed by real-time system monitoring and status. A super-midsize aircraft with long-range aircraft features and benefits, the airplane comes standard with dual IRS (Inertial Reference System) and auto-throttle that are ideally suited for trans-continental operations. The avionics and utility systems are fully integrated, and composite construction provides for lower parts count resulting in enhanced reliability and lower life-cycle costs.

Climb rate is exhilarating, going from sea level to 37,000 feet in just over 14 minutes. Once at altitude, the Hawker 4000 accelerates quickly to its maximum cruise speed of Mach .83. The Pratt & Whitney Canada PW308A engines deliver 6,900 pounds of thrust flat rated to ISA +20 degrees Celsius and, combined with the Hawker 4000's advanced wing design, provide stunning high altitude/hot temperature and short field performance.

Constructed of advanced composite material, the Hawker 4000 fuselage features a 72-inch stand-up cabin with a 77.5-inch width. A flat floor runs the entire length of the aircraft, leading to a large baggage area. The baggage compartment is accessible on the ground through an exterior door or during flight through the cabin. An eight-place interior configuration is standard with fully-articulating executive seats in double club format. The interior can be completely customized with a wide variety of materials and cabin finishes available.
