We started out with the desire to make a real difference in the world. We quickly learned that the offset marketplace was a bit of a jungle. But we didn’t want to just do transactions. So we literally sat down with 29 different providers and decided to work with one, EcoSecurities. We chose them because we are confident the projects they source, monitor and verify provide additionality and reduce emissions. Under the Kyoto principle of Additionality, these projects qualify because they achieve CO₂ reductions that would not have happened without carbon financing. NetJets Europe will use these projects to offset 100% of the emissions from our own operations and company flying, and we are strongly encouraging all of our customers to begin offsetting their flying now. More importantly, we are incorporating carbon offsets into our product offering for all new customers and all renewing customers as of October 1, 2007. Since we have a five-year contract cycle, 100% of our customers will be flying carbon neutral no later than the end of 2012. NetJets Europe makes no money from these offsets; we are offering them to our customers at the same price we are paying.
